The third book of the Pentateuch. In Leviticus the priestly tribe of Levi take center stage. Leviticus is shorter than the first two backs at only 27 chapters. Some themes of this book include, How to be a community, how to worship, and how to live in a foreign land. But the central theme is Holiness. "Be holy for I am holy." We encourage you to use the study as a companion as you read through the book of Leviticus.
About Fr. Bill
Very Rev. Fr. William Mills has been the priest at Nativity of the Holy Theotokos Orthodox Church for over 20 years. He serves under the OCA’s Diocese of the South under Archbishop Alexander Golitzen. Fr. Bill specializes in scripture, spirituality, and ministry. He holds a Ph.D. in Pastoral Theology from the Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also the author of A 30 Day Retreat as well as numerous essays, and book reviews that have appeared in America Magazine, Congregation Magazine, Cistercian Studies Quarterly, Pro Ecclesia, Logos Journal, and Theological Studies.
